Hello fellow Reiver followers, both new and old! I have finally taken it upon myself to revive the once used Reiver Soccer Blog. This will be a great tool to showcase our program and athletes to family, friends, coaches, recruiters, and the community. Please feel free to check back anytime for updates and comments.
Now, as many of you are aware, the IWCC Soccer Programs have experienced some changes over the past few months. In May of 2008, Coach Jeff Ginn resigned as Men’s and Women’s Soccer Assistant Coach (2004-2008) to take on a new career as a Director of Coaching with the Infinity Soccer Club in Logan, Utah (www.infinitysc.com). At this same time, Coach Jordan Carver joined Head Coach Ammon Bennett and Assistant Coach Brad Silvey as the new Assistant Soccer Coach. Shortly after the Fall 2008 season, Coach Bennett resigned as Men’s and Women’s Soccer Head Coach (2004-2008) taking an Assistant Athletic Director/Recruiting Coordinator/Head Bowling Coach position at William Penn University with plans to finish out his Master’s Degree. With the departure of Coach Bennett and the growth and success of both the men’s and women’s soccer programs, the Athletic Director decided it was time for the combined program to be separated. In January 2009, Brad Silvey took over Head Coach responsibilities for the women’s program and Jordan Carver took over the men’s program.
